If you're going to insist that your user install .pdb files, why not
handle the situation where they forgot/ignored you/didn't read the
readme gracefully?  

You have to open those databases, right?  If they're not there, you
could handle that return code, and pop up a dialog box saying "Hey
loser, install the xxx.pdb file as the readme said!".

Uh...okay, so maybe not those exact words, but you know what I
mean...;^)
