> Is 115k too fast for PPP with the Palm? (IIIc, with PalmOS 4.1)

try dropping it to 57600 - i believe that was the default max speeds
for the older units. i have played with mocha-ppp (windows -> palm)
and, on older units, you had to set it to 57600. on the newer units
(maybe better uuart or something) you could go up to 115200 :)

your post is a bit off topic for this group as well; might i suggest
the communications group? even then, your question is more a user
question, not a development specific one :)

google :) might help you a lot as well for something like this.

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&ie=ISO-8859-1&q=palm+linux+ppp

brings up a few:

http://www.raoult.com/palm/index.html
http://www.schau.com/palm/ppphowto/linuxsetup.html (hmm.. brian!)
http://abgruen.de/palm/palm-ppp-mini.txt

that should be a good start :) some of the older ones specifically
set a speed of 57600 :P that might be a little hint for you :) maybe
the speed of 115200 is for faster, USB connections *g*
