You might want to take a look at the book Advanced Palm Programming, which I co-wrote with Ray Rischpater. The first large chapter we do is a bare-bones set of trig functions which I designed specifically for the same reason. It includes an atan function that works correctly AFAIK, sqrt, etc. Source code is included.The main thing I need (besides some decent, simple rounding and sqrt functions) is the ability to find an angle from a pair of coordinates
