Yeah?!?!!? Must've been lucky, although the way I read it, for that to happen you'd needed to have used "d" not "g". Maybe I *am* lucky after all! *8-)One other gotcha: that '%0' above is a compiler-chosen register. I was bitten a few times by trying something like this:asm(" [snip]...
Amen brother! All worship at the altar of bit manipulation!
I love fiddling with my bits. ;-) The Joy of Hex!
Mine was an Atari 400 with the dead flesh, cold steel underlay keyboard. Made me into a real programmer, risking frostbite and cold burns with every keystroke while learning DLI's and POKEY...sigh....those were the days....and no mortgage either! I recently spoke to an agent here in the UK, an american working here, and we both discovered that we both reckoned Star Raiders to be *the* game of all time! Forgot I was supposed to be looking for a job! God it's dead at the moment here...might have to consider busking.(First computer was a zx80 with a z80 chip...I'd hand-assemble code, and poke the values into a string, and then jump to the location of the screen. When macro assemblers came along, I thought I'd died and gone to heaven!)
