You can switch to the Palm OS 68K linker -- it doesn't use Mac OS resources and may be immune to the UNC problems you're seeing with the Mac OS 68K linker and Constructor. You would have to convert your resources to RCP format, but there are some big benefits to doing that, since most of your resources would now be in a text-based format. In upgrading from CW8 to CW9 (version 9.1 and using POL) I've noticed a new problem. I have been developing projects on a network drive using UNC mapping (e.g. \\server\share\folder\project.mcp). This worked fine with CW8. However, with CW9 using either converted .mcp files or brand new ones, I get the following error messages on the link step: Link Error: Error while creating/copying resource fork. Link Error: Error while saving resources.I worked around this by mapping a drive letter the the UNC share, and upon reopening the project and making it all is fine. Ideally I'd like to have the UNC's work, but obviously this isn't a big deal since the drive mapping works around the issue. Any ideas of something I can change in project setup or my configuration to make the UNC's work?
I hadn't heard about the UNC problem before this post. Would you file a formal bug report on this using the form at http://codewarrior.com/MW/Support/Contact+Support/bug.htm so we can track it and maybe fix it for our 9.2 patch.
