Hello. Can anyone point me to any actual documentation or assertions from Palm with respect to assuring forward compatibility of their API/PalmOS? I developed an application and targeted it for PalmOS 3.0. I stayed well within the API, i.e., no direct access to hardware, hacks, gadgets, etc--just the common interfaces. It has worked reliably on a wide array of Palm devices (and licensees devices), but I've been asked by a regulatory organization if I can actually document that it will work with all Palm devices (and all possible configurations) that we haven't tested on or provide a good rational for why it should. Even if I can't prove that it will continue to work with all future versions of Palm, I'd like to at least show that it will work the current set out there [or at least a large number of enumerated ones] without having to exhaustively test every possible configuration out there. I realize that nothing is going to be absolutely bulletproof, but it could help out a lot if I could show something a little more concrete. Any recommendations? Thanks!!
