There's pre-build binaries for Linux at 
http://sourceforge.net/projects/pose/

You can also build POSE from source if needed. If you're using 
RedHat Linux like me, download the .rpm file and do a "rpm -ivh pose-
3.5-2.i386.rpm" to install it. Execute "pose" to get it running 
under X. You'll need a .rom image to use with it which you can get 
by installing the ROM Transfer.prc utility to your Palm device and 
transferring the ROM to Unix over the serial connection.
