I haven't done anything with tables for quite a while. I gave up on them when I realized that the popup trigger in a table is not a true popup trigger. There are a number of limitations to using popup triggers in tables, but I can't recall specifically what you can/can't do.
This probably doesn't help much, but I thought I'd give you a heads us. This nearly drove me crazy at one point until I found an obscure reference to these limitations.
