Can you please elaborate on the "connection problems"? What are the workarounds, or is it definitely better to get CW v8.3? I know I need to ask Metrowerks, but is that a free upgrade by any chance?
Yes, point releases are free updates available to download the the Metrowerks web site. CW for Palm OS V8's current version is 8.3, while CW for Palm OS V9's current version is 9.1, with 9.2 to be available later this month. You only pay when going from one major version to the next -- upgrading from V8 to V9 is $199 at store.metrowerks.com.
