Hi All, The article on this http://makeashorterlink.com/?Z188321D4
tells that 1. serial numbers are available only on flash ROM-based units. --What is the definition of "flash ROM-based units" ? 2. if the ROM has a serial number, the App/Info/Version screen displays an "ID:" label. The ID is the serial number followed by a hyphen, followed by the serial number checksum. --I don't see this ID label on both m125 and m130 device I have, so that means m125 and m130 are not "flash ROM-based units" and they do not have ROM Serial Number available, right? the next question is, for those non-"flash ROM-based units", is there a way to uniquely identify each device at runtime for the purpose of application copy protection; or, Is there an area on device where we can "plant" or program a unique ID number that will stay with the device (not die with the battery) and be retrieved by application at runtime?
