Subject: Print Bitmap Ptr using Symbol From: apple k <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
Does anybody ever use Symbol to print any bitmap onto paper through a small designated printer? I know how to print normal text onto the paper but not so sure is there any possibility to transmit image data into printed form format?
You can do this with the following caveats 1) It'll take noticeably longer to print 2) It will be very specific to the printer (and some printers can't) 3) Its a real pain to write the code to do it
Since you are using Symbol units, I'd guess you are trying to print signatures.
I usually talk my customers out of doing that because of (1) above and also privacy issues, as the paper receipt with the signature on is rarely secured by the recipient.
Much better (and consistently accepted) is to print a line at the bottom of the receipt saying "SIGNATURE ON FILE"
