sure it is. download all the documentation here: http://www.palmos.com/dev/support/docs/ its free to download, everything you need there.. woah.. look here, whats this i see? "Palm OS Development Tools Guide (11/14/2002)" http://www.palmos.com/dev/support/docs/devguide/ToolsTOC.html that discusses a few of the tools that you may want to use.. you'll find a lot of palm's documentation is a bit focused on using the metrowerks codewarrior environment - but, the concepts are still the same (esp. with emulation tools) this one is also good: http://www.palmos.com/dev/support/docs/recipes/ has examples, and, step by step instructions.. all on www.palmos.com (i dont know how you missed it?) now.. lets see, a quick google search http://www.google.com/search?q=palm+development+getting+started brings up a few links, back to www.palmos.com again, and, some of the licensee's have some getting started pages too (handspring, sony, handera) http://www.google.com/search?q=palm+hello+world now, out of these: http://mirrors.duckies.org/PalmDevelopment/PalmDevelopment-HOWTO-3.html http://tangentsoft.net/palmfaq/examples/hello.html http://jasongoldman.com/palm/programming/helloworld.html some of the examples are not up-to-date, but, still some valid points discussed there.. searching for what you really want: http://www.google.com/search?q=prc-tools+installation hits with a link to www.palmos.com about prc-tools 2.0 = bad. ignore this, but, hey! look, the official page is listed! http://prc-tools.sourceforge.net/install/ http://prc-tools.sourceforge.net/install/cygwin.html the latter link much more important for you - as, you want windows. key point here is (from page): --- If you have the old B20.1 Cygwin or prc-tools 2.0 installed, you should note that they are not compatible with modern Cygwin, which is differently organized and (as you'd expect almost four years later!) much improved. If you still have these installed, the best thing to do is to remove them all and start over --- then, it goes on to explain how to install using cygwin :) now, the last link is the BEST place to get information on how to use prc-tools. if you dont understand it, then, i am sorry - but, thats the best documentation you'll get. then, it will be time to get out your wallet and go for the 'damn, i gotta pay for this route' ps: the instructions are perfect - you just need to read them. --- Aaron Ardiri [EMAIL PROTECTED] CEO - CTO +46 70 656 1143 Mobile Wizardry http://www.mobilewizardry.com/ -- For information on using the Palm Developer Forums, or to unsubscribe, please see http://www.palmos.com/dev/support/forums/
