Thanks for the reply. However, when the palm is 'off', or 'sleeping', i do not receive the notification. In other words, I can't get it to wake up by using sysExternalConnectorAttachEvent. When the palm is awake, then I receive the notification. So, is there a way to wake it up? (Other than using alarms. I'd rather have the cradle trigger it)

I didnt find a preference to do that. But there might be a way to make a little program to do this: register for the notification sysExternalConnectorAttachEvent. This should be sent when you connect it to a cradle and you can start a program in the callback.
