I was about to buy a tungsten T but I heard it will be discontinued. what about sony clie or Tungsten C?

Any of the Palm OS 5 devices would be a good choice. So far, all of them have supported USB debugging with CodeWarrior for Palm OS V9, and at least the original Tungsten T will be supported by the FAST toolkit allowing debugging of ARM code in the near future.
