Hi all,
First of all, this is my first post to this newsgroup, I've searched the
Internet, bought books on Palm and "C" and have searched every archive I
could find.
I'm in the process of finishing up a rather large program (190K+) and would
like to display one of my outputs (currently in a table) with an alternating
row shading (like Pocket Quicken does).
It's like a "green bar" display where one row is shaded, the next row is
white, so the user can keep their place. I know it's probably simple, I
just can't find any samples of how it's done.
Is it rectangles that are painted with a custom pattern? Do I draw a 160x160
bitmap with the lines on it, then draw the form over the top?
I'm not a total idiot (we all start at the bottom), but not an expert like
some of you out there. I've spent 8 months on this program and my deadline
was almost 2 weeks ago. I have to finish this program, but want version 1.0
to look more like version 4.5. I know what makes a program look
professional, now I just need to figure out how to "code" my way into it.

Thanks for all the time you guys (and gals) spend on this forum, much is
learned by many, to the benefit of all. Naturally, I would really like some
samples to try out and learn from. I'm not asking you to write my routine,
I just can't spend another week perfecting what my overdue customers figure
should be a "no brainer".

Jim
