I've just run into an "unterminated constant" error when dropping large chunks of text into a rcp-format resource file.
I'd like to check the defined limits but can't locate a definitive doc for the rcp format anywhere. From my memory of the last time-wasting search PalmSource waves vaguely towards Apple's on-line documentation and all other Palm-based discussion is by people who obviously either have a reference document available or don't need one.
The reference to Apple's documentation is for the Rez format (.r) and has nothing to do with PilRC (except for the PilRC-to-Rez converter that Neil Rhodes did based on the PilRC source code).
There are only two good RCP references. Number one of the PiLRC manual. Number two is the PilRC source code.
PilRC has had a 16K limit to the length of a string. I just committed a patch to the PilRC CVS repository boosting this to 64K.
