David, I feel your pain and I'm sure many others do as well. Just figured I would post this info for those whom are interested.
I have more info: When released next month, there are two portions - a Palm OS 5 Booster and a new IDE, V4.0. The booster will work with any AppForge IDE 2.0 or higher created program and is a free download, making all old AppForge apps work on OS5. You will need to use the 4.0 IDE to get HiRes capabilities, e.g., old programs will run in double pixel mode, as expected. The IDE upgrade is $249 from any old version, unless you bought it this month, in which case 4.0 is free. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Gary Gorsline Easy Business Software ========================== End of Message ========================== ----- Original Message ----- From: "David Martin" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Palm Developer Forum" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Wednesday, September 24, 2003 11:43 AM Subject: Re: AppForge supports Palm OS 5 > IMHO: > Too little, too late. > > AppForge is first against the wall when the revolution comes (right > after greedy, corrupt CEOs), but I'm not bitter after getting laid off > after my AppForge project was outsourced 2 wks ago because it wouldnt > run on most PalmOS PDAs anymore and I ran out of time to re-write it in > C; no, not me! > > in case I am not making myself clear, I will translate into > bumper-sticker-ese: > > AppForge Considered Harmful > > or like the tobacco warning: > > AppForge May Be Harmful To Your Career > > can you feel the love? > > David M > > --- Palm Dev Forum <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > In a press release late Monday, AppForge announced it's new version > > 4.0 and > > support for Palm OS 5, among other changes.
