Jan. Some time ago i used iPaq 3860 with Bt. In early versions it had a
problem with Bt implementation and Compaq has released an upgrade. As
far as i remember i wasn't able to connect it to my t39 mobile phone.
Thats all i can remember.

Subject: Bluetooth connectivity

Hello

We discovered problems in the BT data exchange, which seem to point to
the low level OS or driver software. Maybe somebody will be able to say
more about the reasons.

First, we use Exchange manager to send/receive data, i.e. the code used
for IR or BT is identical. IR works without any problem on all devices
tested. (There were a lot of them.)

BT exchange between Siemens mobile and T/t ok in both directions.

BT exchange between iPaq and T/t does not work in either direction. The
devices see each other, but the data transfer fails. (With an error
message that does not reveal anything.)

BT exchange between Siemens mobile phone and iPaq ok in both directions.

To sum up the two sides of the triangle work, while the third one fails.
This is really strange and difficult to explain. In my understanding the
problem must be in the BT driver in one of the devices. The applications
can hardly do anything to change this behavior.

Does anyone know if there is anything we could do? Could it help if we
use low level BT control? Any help would be appreciated.
