Also what about the File Streaming APIs? Can I use these? I am a little confused about what I would need to do to use these.
You need to convert your data files to File Streaming PDB format using PAR, a utility from http://www.djw.org/product/palm/par/. You can install those PDB files on a device and use the FileOpen/FileRead/FileClose APIs from the File Streaming support to read data out of them.
