Hi All,

I went through the Palm 4 SDK and found that PDA's support PPP drivers. I also saw network related API's in the SDK. And I found in the archives, questions realting to these API's. But still I am not sure whether Palm PDA's support Ethernet connection to achieve the above functionality. If it supports, is there any special hardware requirements to achieve Ethernet conncetion???

I am eagerly waiting for the response since I have to answer my customes ASAP.

Cheers,
Anamika.

Right now I have developed Palm application which communicates with one end of our product through RS232.

Our product is mainly 'point-to-point broadband radio that delivers full-rate 50-100 Mbps Ethernet IP-based services up to 10 miles without wires.'

But now, our customers want to know whether

1. It is possible to have Ethernet connector for Palm PDA's (TCP/IP stack on PDA).

2. Is it possible to have PPP driver on the Palm PDA's.

Basically, what they want to know is, when we connect the Palm PDA to one end of the link serially, we should somehow be able to talk to remote end of our link (which is 8 - 10 kms away) through this PDA. (Basically through Socket connection).

Is the above condition possible at all??? If yes,
a) what type of PDA's should I be looking for???
b) Will there be major changes to my existing code???

Right now I am using Palm m500 and Visor Pro PDA's.

Thanks a lot in advance for the much needed info.

Cheers,
Anamika.
