First I have to admit I've been out of the loop for a while so pardon my
ignorance. I've put off updating to OS5 for a while, but now I see Palm
doesnt sell anything but OS 5 PDAs now. So here I am...

I have a program that does a lot of nilEvent processing (basically serial
port comm and graphics drawing). When running on a Zire 71, it's serial data
processing rate slows to about half of what it is on <5.0 devices. I'm
guessing this is PACE at work. My questions is, is there a way around it?
These aren't math intensive routines, they are standard API calls for
processing the serial data and drawing to the screen. There's just a lot of
them. So an ARMlet isn't going to help here correct?

If I'm wrong, info or links to helpful info would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Mike
