You are missing something, Brandt. 

Even though the device has a keyboard, there are many customers that 
would still like to use back-lit onscreen keyboards - they are 
visible in the dark, and some are easier to see/use than the tiny 
hardware keyboards on the device.

I know this to be true, because we have a number of customers with 
Treos and Tungsten-Ws...
