How to tell if app lauched in LANDSCAPE mode on T3?

On a T3, how can an application tell if it was launched in portrait mode 
or landscape mode?
WinScreenGetAttributes returns 320 x 320 regardless, and 
grfFtrInputAreaFlagLandscape is always false.

We need to know whether the DIA is under us or to the right of us, but 
none of those features seem to work yet.

Any ideas on how to tell?
