This is a question better suited for the conduit forum.  Anyway, the more
records you need to sync, the longer it will take.  For example, 10000
records at 1k each takes longer to sync than 1000 records at 10k each even
though they both have the same amount of data.  In general, compressing
individual records impacts data transfer time during a sync less than
putting the same data into fewer records.
