Jeremy, I suggest that you live with the functionality. My experience has shown if you try to do something that makes the UI do something that is not default behavior that it will bite you later. For example, the PalmSource OS 5.3 Simulator will expand the info dialog to fill the whole screen. Your program will do what you want on this version of the OS.
