Hi Mike, Not meaning to belittle your problems, but have you considered moving your hardware to use Bluetooth instead of RS-232? I'm sure there are RS-232 <--> Bluetooth converters on the market as an interim step to integrating Bluetooth into whatever you are connecting to. A few companies (like DataStick www.datastick.com) have been successful in connecting Bluetooth sensors to Palm OS handhelds.
Just wondering what your thoughts are on the subject. I have no idea what it is that you're connecting your handheld to, or if Bluetooth would make sense in your environment.
