I'm attempting to write an application for the T3 which makes use of the dynamic input area but I can't find a suitable API in the documentation.
I'm using the 5.3 SDK. While the SDK contains the "Application
and Dynamic Input Areas" PDF, it's clear from the PalmOS
Reference manual's compatability appendix that the features
described are not available in PalmOS 5.2.1, the version which comes with the T3.
Just to be on the safe side, I checked this using FtrGet in a
minimal programme and indeed obtain the result ftrErrNoSuchFeature.
It's clear that some applications are able to switch to the
full screen. A search of the web, knowledge base and the archive of this newsgroup produced a thread regarding the
T3 pointing the OP at the knowledge base article describing the use of the above (apparantly unavailable) feature and,
more significantly, no posts from others suffering this problem.
Consqeuently, I must conclude that I'm an idiot and have missed something obvious. Could somebody point me (and those who encounter this thread in the future) at the information I should be reading?
