Once I have started a project under Code Warrior IDE, how do I rename it so the compiler creates a different executable name?
If you're using the Palm OS 68K Linker, alter the PRC File Settings to specify a different output filename, and alter the Target Settings panel to specify a different output folder.
If you're using the Mac OS 68K linker, you need to update both the 68K Target settings and the PalmRez Settings, as those panels need to be in sync WRT filename.
