Either hire a developer with experience to write the app or invest in one of the easier development systems to master such as Satellite Forms (www.pumatech.com) or NSBasic (www.nsbasic.com). Read over the info Palmsource has in the developer's section of their website http://www.palmos.com/dev/start/ However, the Palm OS (as well as most embedded systems) are not the best place to learn how to program. I'd start by writing a few simple PC apps first to get the feel. Maybe read a couple of beginner programming books. Last bit of advice, pick a simpler language to learn first. I'd suggest BASIC as a starting point.
