SerialFix sounds like a good solution for Tungsten/T.  What's the situation
with newer Tungstens?

The problem with serial port support on the Tungsten/T bothered me
enough that I developed the SerialFix product.  It is a system
extension for OS/5 that enables use of the full range of baud rates.
The problem is that the serial port driver shipped with the Tungsten/T
only honors specific rates.  SerialFix intercepts the SrmOpen
requests, and reprograms the serial port hardware for the requested
baud rate.  The only difference for application programs is that
requests for unusual baud rates (such as 31250) are honored, as
opposed to the standard system response of failing such requests.
