Hello, Thanks in advance for any help you all might be able to provide.
I am a beginning Palm OS Developer. I have some experience with C/C++ and lots of experience with Java. Since it appears that C is the language of choice for developing PalmOS Applications, thats where I am going to focus my efforts.
The PalmOS website suggest using either PRC-Tools (with the GNU C Compiler) or CodeWarrior. I don't want to install PRC-Tools because apparently that requires Cygwin, which I have never had good experiences with. And I cannot afford to purchase CodeWarrior (although I would use it with glee if I could get a copy).
I do have a copy of Visual Studio 6.0 (which has a C compiler).
My dilemma is as follows:
1. I can find nothing on using VS6 to do PalmOS development. Am I to assume that I cannot use it to create Palm apps
2. If I can use VS6, how do I configure it (if its necessary)
3. Can anyone using VS6.0 or Visual C++ point me to any tutorials or such to help me learn PalmOS programming using VC++?
I am desperate for assistance. Your enlightened responses are greatly appreciated.
Warmest Regards, Tony Armstrong
