Well I thought that with all the rich api provided for palm communication, there would be a simple way to speak with it from a desktop.

I found :
USBPort.dll
USBTransport.dll
USB_Driver/PalmUSBD.inf
USB_Driver/PalmUSBD.sys

and no documentation.
Of course nothing on my Mac.

I'm quite sure there must be another way. Is it an idea to use internet sockets ? would it work on any device ?

The usb is complicated - look in the hotsync folder and you'll find a palmusb.dll - this is the one you have to use to communicate with the device, no other way. Dig here to check for some developer experience with this dll.

Hi
Nobody answered my question, am I in the wrong mailing list ?
PS: of course I dont want to use conduit via hotsync.

All I need is to exchange some binary data from the PC (or MAC) to the palm. I've read docs about exchange manager, net library etc.. and I wonder why all this is so complicated ! and of course I could not find a simple example of data exchange between PC/MAC and palm

I already succeeded in communicate with serial port on a PC. Now with usb I dont find anything...

Thanks for any info.

Hi,
I would like to transmit data to and from palm with my PC / Win32. With serial port, I have no
problem, but with usb, I cannot find any api in visual studio.
How can I send data to usb in C on win32 ?
Thanks
