It would seem best to use a straight TCP/IP based connection between the
units and the PC. You could install the Softick PPP software with USB, or
buy an Ethernet cradle.

May be getting a serial cradle is not a bad idea, the cost of this piece of
hardware will be for sure lower than the cost of development if you plan to
use usb....
