Hi I need, under OS5, to compress offscreen window bitmaps, then save them to storage. At a later stage, I want to retrieve/uncompress them and copy them to an offscreen window.
Ben Combee and Steve Mann were pretty helpful (thanks guys) and pointed me in what seems to be the right direction: BmpRsrc.c (part of the BitmapRsrcDR1 package). However, this package does not support bitmap compression (per the docs). I am going to try and modify the package by adding my own compression scheme. Am I going through too much trouble, ie is their an easier solution out there?
