I currently use FontLab to build all of our fonts, my problem is getting it from TTF to the Palm Format.
I currently use HandsHigh FontBucket (which creates a PDB based on a TTF, then I rip out the PDB header information and use the resulting binary data as a nfnt resource. (for HD fonts) Because this really sucks at the lower pixel points, I use xFont 1.2 to extract non-hd fonts, which then creates the ASCII file that PilRc can use. Since it's in ascii format, I can manually update the resulting PFN file(s) and work from that. There MUST be a better way? - If there is, could someone please help. I would think that FontLab or some other font program would be better able to convert the vector to a better bitmap than these other two programs. Is there some format that I can save these fonts in (from a font editor) that I can then hack into a Palm Font resource (by adding the header or whatever). Any insight would be greatly appreciated.. How about support for TTF (has anyone written anything like this for the Palm - maybe even 5.x and above?) thanks - bill -- For information on using the Palm Developer Forums, or to unsubscribe, please see http://www.palmos.com/dev/support/forums/
