Resending this message, as I received no responses, and I was worried that perhaps it just got caught in people's spam filters? Though, if so, then there is no reason this one won't as well. Is no one willing to give me their opinions?

All,

I hope this won't intrude into your list reading too much, but I'm just getting into Palm development again, and I would really like to get community input on some questions. My primary development will be for the Treo 600s, so if input needs to be bent toward a specific area, it would be there. I'd also prefer to be doing development on the Mac as opposed to Windows, but determining the feasibility of this is part of what I hope to learn.

Development Thoughts
First, I'd like to get some preferences on development environments. I have used CW for Palm from a long while ago (version 5), and I have PRC-Tools running with XCode on Os X (thanks Zeno!). I'd like to know how people feel about using CW8 on the Mac for current development (does it handle armlets?), as well as using CW9 under Windows (why won't they just do a Mac version?), and comparing this to PRC-Tools under any platform. What are people using for their PRC generation on each platform? What about the Falch.net products? What is this mysterious Cocoa Constructor?

Testing Stuff
Ok, so I'm a registered developer with Palm now, got all of that handled, but I'm now lost as to what I need, and the division, but combination of Palm and handspring does not seem to have helped. Is POSE still the current testing environment, or does it not support Palm OS 5? Is it now POSS (Palm OS Simulator)? Is POSS windows only as well? I'm very confused here, and would like to get this sorted out ASAP, as right now I'm testing stuff on my device directly, and that ain't no fun thang.

Resources?
So I think I have dug up most of the resources out there, anyone have any unique favorites that might be hard to find? I have the books:

PalmOS Programming Bible

Palm OS Programming: The Developer's Guide, 2nd Edition
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/1565928563

Palm OS Network Programming

Ben's site:

The Wiki:

In general, I'd love to hear any hints, tips, and tricks from developers out there. I'm an experienced C/C++, Java, etc... programmer, and I'm going to be working on linking some of my current tools with Palm apps, so I'll take any guidance I can get!

Thanks all, and if this is all covered in a FAQ somewhere I haven't dug up, please reprimand me and send me on my way. :)
