Trap the sysNotifyVirtualCharHandlingEvent and start your find operation if the character is vchrFind and the commandKeyMask bit is set in the modifiers.
Is it possible to programmatically start a global search ?
Disable your notification trapping and post a sysNotifyVirtualCharHandlingEvent as mentioned above.
