He misunderstood your question, I think. There *was* someone on here asking about how to find the height of a particular font, and I believe he was answering that question when replying to yours.These APIs do not tell me whether they had to replace non-existing characters in the font by the missing character symbol. They just compute the width or height of the string.

Regardless, the "look over the SDK docs" was a good tip. The function you're looking for is TxtCharIsPrint, btw.
