Don't know if it would help... but I found patches for the Zire 71 on PalmGear. This is the link for all models. You select the model you are looking for once you get there. http://palmone.com/us/support/downloads/ Using the expansion card patch, I was finally able to get the Zire to read my camera's card. I don't know if it has fixed the hard reset problem since I can't reproduce the problem. Also note that you might need to reformat your card. It could have gotten corrupted.
