Hey, i was just trying to be helpful John. I think you saw something I
posted and had to go off on me.. :-)

I just went through downloading/installing the whole Siemens/Symbian
SDK,
which used Winzip's split files, and I thought I'd make a suggestion,
after going through that frustration.

I keep reading these articles on Palm InfoCenter, etc., saying the new
IDE is available for download.. NOT! so I thought I'd throw in my two
cents.

I agree with your proposed Cygwin setup ideas, but they aren't
implemented. for now we're stuck with the standard setup.

Hey, if you get it to install right the first time, great! But if you
have to try more than once, like one of the source sites you tried
didn't have a file, it can be very frustrating! A long time ago Aaron
zipped-up the whole thing and got it for me.. what a difference!

If you aren't careful, the setup will try to UNINSTALL programs you
just tried so hard to put together. Oh, that's nice.. It needs
improvement..

I like using Cygwin, and would never use CW. And I'm looking forward
to trying the new Eclipse IDE.

( Putting on asbestos suit ) :-)

Thanks,

Joe Siebenmann
