I really hope that PalmSource is planning to create many Glue functions, to access private internal data, or else what are Patches worth????? I would suggest a single function per structure, that returns a structure of pointers to all internal values. What do you think?
That would suck a lot. The reason to hide the implementation is to allow the OS developers freedom to change things. Exposing all of the internals through API functions is just one step above allowing anyone to reach in and alter the internals at will.
You have to give up some of the freedom of knowing exactly how Palm OS works in order to free it to grow, have more functionality, and become a better user experience.
