i have searched through and tried the debugger, but do not find where can
show the value of "str" after the FlpFToA() call, how to do that?

It should be visible in the variables pane along with all of your other local variables.

I just tried Emulator OS4.1, it says :
the program called a function in a shared library using a reference number
of 0. This reference number does not correspond to any currently installed
library and is invalid.
why? i have installed MathLib already.

This sounds like MathLib isn't installed. Did you install it into this session? You may need to manually drag it to the emulator/PalmSim window to have it there for you.
