thanks for your help! I do understand now. The function for retrieving the pen coordinates in native format is EvtGetPenNative(), i guess. I assume I must call it when I get a penDownEvent, and it will deliver me the last pen coordinates. I'll try that.
The UI controls in the OS do not handle being in any mode other than standard density, so you shouldn't be in other modes when you take any actions that would affect forms or controls.
Maybe as a suggestion it would be nice if the above sentence would be in the companion, to make things clearer. Although now you pointed it out, it seems obvious to me :-)
