I don't know about VersaMail, but Mobile Mail 4.0 (part of Cobalt) 
responds to 0x8003 (sysAppLaunchCmdCustomBase+3) by initiating a send & 
receive sync operation.  As MM4.0 is a distant relative of VersaMail due 
to their shared MultiMail heritage, VersaMail *might* respond to this 
same launch code.
