I don't know if this is addressed by the updates (SDK and CW). I do know that the problem is PDA model specific.

The Palm OS SDK was updated from 5.0 to 5.0 R2 with the 9.2 update. Try installing the 5.0 R3 update and see if the PalmOSGlue library in that version behaves better.
