Padmini,
 My code looks like this..
           case QuitButton:
                  //InitialState();
                   StopApplication();
                  handled=true;
                  break;

This should be a better way to do instead:
case QuitButton:
     {
           EventType   evt;

           evt.eType = appStopEvent;
           EvtAddEventToQueue(&evt)
     }
     handled = true;
     break;
