I have now found the sample at
http://kb.palmsource.com/cgi-bin/palmsource.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_sid=OYEX8WSg&p_lva=&p_faqid=507

The development system I am using pocket studio 2 and the documentation I have
downloaded fdrom PalmOS ref and companion do not appear to support the PinMgr
which seems to be required to manager the dynamic input area. I will look
into this, but if anyone can help please feel free to contribute.
