Is there any way to reduce the brightness of the screen further than the brightness slider bar at the bottom of the main screen? I would like to work with the Palm in a dark environment with a black background w/ red lettering and it is still too bright. Thanks,
I think Energy Dimmer (http://www.79bmedia.com/dimmer/) would be a good choice for both dimming the screen beyond the usual settings and increasing the auto-off timeout.
There is no standard way to "dim more" from your application. Some Palm OS licensees have additional headers in their SDKs that give this kind of access, but it's not a standard part of the Palm OS platform.
