Thanks for the reply. But... I know that the 'extent.x' member of the structure don't specify the bottom-right corner of the rectangle, if you are trying to say so. But the problem is, as exposed in my original message, that the function ALWAYS returns the same value, i.e.:
rtObject.extent.x == 59
What kind of object are you measuring? If you're measuring a field, you will always get the full field width, not the width of the actual text.
