I'd write the option as part of the compilied code, not handled by the
precompilier. You can include TblSetSelection in the same code that is
executed on Palm OS5 and OS2 just as long as you don't make the call on OS2.

CurrentOSVersion = GetTheOSVersion(...)
// Later...
if(CurrentOSVersion >= 4)
TblSetSelection (...)
else
// my funky set selection code
